Sectional Garage Doors: Installation & Repairs
Sectional doors lift straight up and slide back under the ceiling in hinged panels. They seal well, look clean from the street and leave the driveway clear, which is why they're the most popular door on new and renovated homes.
Sectional door repairs
Sectional doors have more moving parts than a roller door, so regular attention keeps them safe and quiet. We repair and replace:
- Torsion springs and spring winding
- Lift cables and cable drums
- Nylon and steel rollers
- Panel hinges and end brackets
- Damaged or dented panels
- Vertical and horizontal tracks
- Top and bottom weather seals
Why choose a sectional door
- Opens vertically, so you can park close to the door
- Seals tightly against wind, dust and rain
- Available insulated for a cooler, quieter garage
- Wide choice of profiles, colours, timber-look and window inserts
- Works smoothly and quietly with a modern ceiling-mount opener
Space you'll need
A sectional door runs on tracks back into the garage, so it needs a little headroom above the opening and clear space on the ceiling. We measure this on the free quote visit. Where headroom is limited, low-headroom track kits can often make a sectional door work where it otherwise wouldn't.

Common questions
Can one damaged sectional panel be replaced?
Often, yes, if the panel profile and colour are still available. On older doors where an exact match isn't made any more, we'll discuss whether replacing the door is the better option.
How long do sectional door springs last?
Springs are rated by cycles, where one open and close is a cycle. Standard springs on a busy household door often last somewhere around 5 to 10 years. Higher-cycle springs are available if your door gets heavy use.
